16 & PREGNANT star Whitney Purvis had not spoken to her late son Weston in six years before his death, the teen’s stepmom, Amy Gosa, has claimed.
In an interview with The U.S. Sun, Weston Gosa’s stepmother hit back at allegations Whitney was not allowed inside her son’s funeral weeks after his sudden death on June 2.

Whitney claimed she was given misinformation about her son’s funeral which caused her to miss the services[/caption]
“We told her the viewing was from 2 to 4 pm, so to get there at 3.
“And the service was at 4 pm, the doors were locked for the service since it was private.
“She decided to get there HOURS late at around 4:30, while the service was already going on.”
Amy said the MTV star also had the opportunity to come much earlier in the day to mourn her son.
“We even told her we were getting there early around 12 or 1, she easily could have come then too.”
Amy claimed Whitney’s family members, including her mother and uncle, were in attendance, as they had arrived at 3 pm.
“We prolonged the service as long as we could hoping she’d show up,” Amy said, adding, “She never texted or called us telling us she was on her way or she was late. Nothing.”
“She wants to blame us because she wants to act like it’s our fault she chose to come hours late,” an upset Amy claimed.
“She’s always been like this, she hasn’t even spoken to Lil Wes in six years.”
Amy went on to explain Whitney’s custody arrangement, as she understands it.
“Whitney is allowed supervised visits on the custody agreement, we told her to set up a time at a supervision center, and she didn’t.
“They eventually tried contacting us to tell her they’ve been trying to contact her but she wouldn’t answer their calls.”
Weston’s stepmom then said: “It really upsets me that she won’t let us grieve and keeps going to the press doing interviews.
“It’s painful enough as it is, we lost a piece of our family, our daily life and she just won’t stop. It’s hurtful.
“We tried our best to have her there, we even got her an urn and she turns around and blames us for her being late to her son’s funeral.”
Weston Jr’s stepmother also claimed that Whitney hadn’t asked how her other son, River, 11, was doing in the wake of losing his beloved brother.
Whitney’s ex, Weston Gosa Sr, has full custody of both their sons.
“[Whitney] is not the mom she plays on Facebook,” she said.
The U.S. Sun has reached out to Whitney for comment.
WHITNEY’S ALLEGATIONS
The former MTV star took to Facebook on Wednesday morning with a lengthy statement about the contentious back-and-forth she is having with her ex and his wife after her son Weston’s funeral last weekend.
Whitney claimed it was her ex Weston Sr. who didn’t let her see her sons, Weston and River.
‘He didn’t let me see my kids when I should’ve got them every other weekend, and there was nothing I could do about it without a lawyer,” she said, adding that she couldn’t afford legal representation when she was barely able to “pay rent and bills and be able to pay child support.”
“A judge had already told him he wasn’t allowed to keep them from me and he still did,” she continued.
“I never lost my rights to my kids. He didn’t let me see my kids just to hurt me and spite me.”
“I’m the parent who threw birthday parties, I’m the parent that made every holiday special and always took pictures, my biggest downfall was being poor.”
The former reality star also claimed she spoke to her oldest son on social media.
“I couldn’t call and little Weston had to sneak around on Snapchat to talk to me.
“I wasn’t even allowed to upload pictures of my kids! I couldn’t know their school or nothing going on with them medically. I was completely shut out.”
WESTON’S ILLNESSES
As The U.S. Sun previously reported, Weston had a lot of medical issues leading up to his death at just 16-years-old.
According to Amy, Weston, who was first featured as an infant on 16 & Pregnant in 2009, faced numerous health challenges beyond type 1 diabetes.
These included Addison’s disease and Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency.
Weston had a younger brother, River, and a half-brother, who is Amy’s son.
All three boys lived together with Amy and Weston Jr.’s father, Weston Sr.
Just after his death, Amy told The U.S. Sun everyone was leaning on each other, and that things were going well with Whitney.
Amy said of Whitney at the time: “We’re on good terms now. She’s devastated as well. She’s not doing good at all right now.”
As previously reported by The U.S. Sun, Weston tragically passed away on June 2, leaving his devastated mother to announce the heartbreaking news with an emotional tribute on social media.
Whitney, 33, who appeared in the first season of 16 & Pregnant, shared the news of her son’s death on Facebook.
Amy later provided more details about the teenager’s untimely passing, revealing that Weston was found unresponsive at 7 a.m., and despite her efforts, she was unable to wake him.
“He was not breathing, we attempted CPR and called an ambulance.
“The paramedics attempted it as well and took him to the hospital in Gordon County [Georgia] where he was pronounced dead.”
