SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — One woman is dead after a car vs. pedestrian crash in Hughes County Sunday evening.
In a news release from the South Dakota Department of Public Safety, a 27-year-old male from Rock Valley, IA, was driving a minivan near mile marker 231 when it struck a 23-year-old woman from Kennebec.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
