Chon Buri officials approved extra funding to support a major fireworks festival in Pattaya, aiming to boost tourism and attract international visitors.
The Pattaya International Fireworks Festival 2025 will dazzle visitors with its most spectacular show yet, thanks to a 5 million baht boost from the Chon Buri Provincial Administrative Organisation (PAO). Scheduled for November 28 to 29 along Pattaya Beach, the event promises to be a major draw for both Thai and international tourists.
Officials say the additional funding will elevate the event to new heights, with grander pyrotechnic displays, live performances, cultural showcases, and food markets all lined up to enrich the two-day celebration.
“The goal is to boost tourism and economic activity not only in Pattaya but throughout Chon Buri. We want the world to see what we can offer.”

The fireworks will be the star of the show, with international teams competing in dazzling displays from 8pm to midnight each night. Concerts featuring both local and global acts, culinary stalls serving Thai and international cuisine, and cultural performances will round out the festive atmosphere.
Premium viewing spots will be available at rooftop bars and beachfront hotels, while free public seating areas will line the beach for visitors to enjoy the show without spending extra.
The festival is expected to draw tens of thousands of spectators and generate millions of baht in revenue. Local businesses, especially hotels, restaurants, and retail outlets, are gearing up for the tourism surge.
However, the event isn’t without its challenges. Accommodation prices are expected to rise significantly, particularly at beachfront locations. Early booking is advised to avoid soaring rates.
Traffic congestion is another concern. With thousands expected to flock to Pattaya Beach, city officials are working on traffic management plans to minimise delays. Visitors are encouraged to use public transport or stay within walking distance of the venue.
Despite these hurdles, the fireworks festival is being hailed as a cornerstone of Pattaya’s evolving tourism strategy, one that positions the city as more than just a nightlife destination, according to Pattaya Mail and Travel and Tour World.
“This event showcases Pattaya’s potential to host world-class entertainment. It’s not just about fireworks; it’s about rebranding the city for the future.”
