The star in question is Hollywood actor Griffin Dunne, who was spotted at the Honey Don’t premiere in New York.

The actor looked smart in his beige linen suit.

Griffin was seen on the red carpet, where he posed for cameras with his hands in his pockets.

In 1987, the actor played Madonna‘s leading man, Loudon Trott, in the movie Who’s That Girl?.

The film is about a street-smart girl who is falsely accused of murdering her boyfriend and is sent to jail.

Speaking earlier this year about working with the Queen of Pop, Griffin told Closer: “It was really fun. She was hilarious and we had a lot of laughs.

“She was at the height of her stardom.

“Although I grew up in Hollywood, I’d never seen anything like that.”

He added: “There were helicopters. Whenever we shot outside, they were hovering over us like we were O.J. Simpson in the Bronco.

“She just took it all in stride. Most people, myself included, would have had a nervous breakdown.”

Prior to working with Madonna, Griffin got his breakout part when he played the lead in the 1981 comedy horror film An American Werewolf in London.

Speaking about the landing the iconic role, he said in the same Closer interview: “It was the unexpected opportunity to be cast in [1981’s] An American Werewolf in London.

“I was quite inexperienced. I’d done some theater, maybe a small part in a movie.

“It was bewildering. Suddenly I went from very tiny parts to co-star and shooting in London and flying over on the Concorde.

“Directors that I admired were introduced to me. It was quite a break.”

Griffin’s other big films include My Girl, Dallas Buyers Club, Ocean’s Eight, and Martin Scorsese, After Hours.

Behind-the-scenes, he also directed the 1998 movie, Practical Magic, which starred Hollywood megastars Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock.

The actor also comes has Hollywood roots as his father was a producer turned writer, and his aunt and uncle were also famous writers.

Speaking about his famous family he said: “I noticed they all had something in common which was a sort of brutal honesty about themselves and the people around them.

“They were very tough writers. They would take down others when they saw hypocrisy or injustice.

“They would also write from a very personal point of view. Joan [Didion] wrote about thinking of divorcing her husband.

“My father would write about his struggle with alcohol. I thought of them often when I was writing. They were a big influence on me.”

Griffin continues to act to this day, with a role in the upcoming film starring Austin Butler, Caught Stealing.

Fans will also recognise him from the huge TV show This Is Us.
