In a recent Instagram post, Quddus shared a video of himself performing a drumming ritual, alongside a lengthy caption explaining his new path.
He described his journey as a “quantum leap,” saying the key to transformation lies in aligning with one’s “soul level”.
Quddus wrote: “The biggest misconception about reinvention is that it takes time.
“When we can synch up the deepest desires of our soul with what our mind can start taking action on – quantum leaps can happen.”
Quddus said his own leap happened 23 years ago when he went from being a complete unknown to hosting on MTV.
Now, he says he’s bringing the underground work he’s been doing with sound and psychedelics to a wider audience.
He added: “More of us need to get to that soul level. Considering how heady and heartless most of us have been conditioned to become in our culture, I see that soul level as the most important key to liberation.”
Quddus now facilitates healing sessions involving sound therapy and psychedelics, with a focus on personal growth and self-discovery.
He says the aim is to help others tap into their own wisdom and unlock long-term momentum in their lives.
Quddus concluded: “Your most aligned and truest self is waiting.”
The star, whose full name is Quddus Philippe, was once a staple of MTV and known for his distinctive head of hair and on-screen charisma.

Now based in Amsterdam, Quddus now leads sound meditation retreats and psychedelic integration training through his program, Sound Sanctuary Academy.
The six-day immersive course focuses on helping participants reconnect with their intuition through breathwork, sound, and plant medicine practices.
He also hosts a podcast, Inside with Quddus, where he explores topics such as ayahuasca, healing journeys, and emotional integration.
