And the receiver will be banned for the first three games of the 2025 NFL season.
He will not be eligible to play until the Week 4 clash with the Pittsburgh Steelers in Dublin, Ireland.
A three-game ban is the baseline suspension in the collective bargaining agreement for a first offence.
Addison will continue to participate in Vikings training camp.
He is also eligible to play in preseason.
The suspension relates to a DUI arrest in Los Angeles, California last summer.
The 23-year-old pleaded no contest to a lesser charge and was sentenced to probation.
He was given 12 months’ probation and a $390 fine as well as being ordered to complete an alcohol education course.
Addison was found asleep by police at the wheel of a white Rolls Royce blocking a lane of the I-105 near LAX.
In July 2023, he was cited for driving 140 mph on a Minnesota freeway.
The 23-year-old pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor speeding charge and paid $686 in fines.
Addison will now miss games against the Chicago Bears, Atlanta Falcons and Cincinnati Bengals in September.
Minnesota will play three preseason games in August.
Addison could feature in those, against the Houston Texans, New England Patriots and Tennessee Titans.
“Whatever’s out there for me, whatever comes with it, I’ll own up to everything,” he said last summer.
“I feel like anything that comes my way is meant to happen or is deserved.”
Addison was a first round NFL Draft pick in 2023.
He has 1,786 yards from 133 catches with 19 touchdowns in his career so far.
The 23-year-old is part of one of the league’s top receiving duos with Justin Jefferson.
The pair helped Minnesota to a 14-3 record last season.
