Mike Vrabel left bleeding from his face as New England Patriots HC jumps in to break up practice fight in shock scene

CHAOS erupted at the New England Patriots training camp, which saw head coach Mike Vrabel bloodied in a stunning scene.

The Patriots‘ head coach tried to break up a fight at a joint practice with the Washington Commanders in Foxborough, Massachusetts, on Wednesday.

Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel was left bloodied due to the team’s training camp fight with another team on Wednesday[/caption]

The drama occurred when Patriots rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson and a blitzing defender got into a fight after a play.

Henderson took the defender to the ground ‘violently’, per Mass Live, before the pair started to fight on the floor, which led to Vrabel jumping in and trying to intervene.

But players on both teams then joined the fight, including Patriots first-round pick, offensive lineman Will Campbell.

Shortly after the fight, a picture on X showed a standing Vrabel who was holding a towel to his face to stop the bleeding.

After the incident, Vrabel was in good spirits as Patriots wide receiver shared to reporters that the team’s coach told the players, “You should see the other guy.”

Social media users praised Vrabel for looking to break up the fight between the two teams.

“Vrabel is a dawg,” one wrote.

“That was crazy!” another commented.

“Bloodied but fearless Patriots coach is built DIFFERENT!” a third said.

“W coach,” a fourth added.

Patriots players also shared their appreciation for the first-year coach of the legendary franchise.

“He’s right there with us, man,” tight end Hunter Henry told reporters.

Douglas also said, “That shows a lot. He’ll do anything for us… that’s love.”

Vrabel is entering the first year of coaching New England where he won three Super Bowls with the organization as a linebacker.

The 49-year-old has head coaching experience as he led the Tennessee Titans to a 54-45 record.

Vrabel will look to vastly improve the Patriots, who fired first-year head coach Jerod Mayo due to a disappointing 4-13 season in 2024.

New England will face the Commanders in the team’s preseason opener on Friday night.

The Pats will begin their season on September 7 as they’ll host the Las Vegas Raiders.
