In a statement released by the team, the Panthers confirmed that their $100 million man was involved in the accident.
Horn was alone in his vehicle at the time of the crash and was evaluated by Panthers medical staff.
There is no timeline on his return, but Horn is confirmed to have not sustained any major injuries.
He shared his status on X after the accident.
“I’m straight! Nun major thank god,” he wrote.
Panthers head coach Dave Canales also gave an update to the media regarding his cornerback’s status.
“I’m glad that Jaycee was okay,” Canales said.
“He did have to have a few stiches in his left thumb area. They did get that all cleaned up and sutured up.
“He is day-to-day right now, we’re just going to evaluate that right now.
“It doesn’t seem like anything else happened.”
While the accident was nothing major, Horn will be held out of the Panthers’ first preseason game.
“He’ll be able to still do some running, and activity, and all that,” Canales added.
“But he will not play (Friday against the Browns). Hopefully we can get him turned around so we can take advantage of an opportunity in Houston (next week) for that game, which was kind of the plan all along.”
Fans were glad to hear that Horn came out mostly unscathed, and shared their well wishes for him on social media.
“Glad your good Brudda,” one fan said.
