Cowboys quarterback Prescott was trolled by NFL fans on social media

Prescott, 32, and Kroenke, 78, met on the field before kick-off and exchanged a few pleasantries.

And the camera caught the quarterback boldly claiming the next time they meet will be in the play-offs.

Prescott was overheard telling Kroenke: “We’ll meet y’all in the NFC Championship Game.”

The Cowboys haven’t reached that stage of the play-offs since 1995 – the year they won the Super Bowl against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Dallas didn’t even make the play-offs last season.

So naturally fans were left in stitches as they took to social media and mocked Prescott’s bold prediction.

One NFL enthusiast tweeted: “I want to live in this kind of delusion.”

Another commented: “How nice of Dak to invite the Rams owner to his house to watch the championship game.”

A third wrote: “He actually thinks this year won’t be just like the other 29 years before.”

This fan said: “I guess he’s planning to meet him in the stands.”

And that one posted: “I didn’t think tickets were for sale yet?”

The Cowboys ended up losing to the Rams 31-21 in Los Angeles.
