A fake reporter account claimed that Beckham was retiring from the NFL[/caption]

On Tuesday, an X account parodying ESPN reporter Adam Schefter made a post indicating that Beckham was retiring.

The account is named Adam Schelfer, being incredibly close to Schefters name which fooled many fans.

In just six hours the post had nearly 900,000 views on X.

It got so popular that Beckham responded in the comments to put down the rumors.

“LOL WTF… when was that announced and by who?” he wrote.

“That’s funny, appreciate the concerns but this s*** ain’t over yet.”

He made another, separate post on his page to thank fans for their concerns.

“Not done yet… thanks for hr concerns and have a blessed day,” he said.

Beckham played very sparingly last season after signing with the Miami Dolphins.

He appeared in nine games, catching just nine passes for 55 yards with no touchdowns.

That was Beckham’s 10th year in the league, and he is now entering his age-33 season.

With a complex injury history and his advanced age for a wide receiver, Beckham has yet to be picked up by another squad.

However, he seems to be intent on playing in 2025 and fans shared where they want to see him land this season.

“Come home goat,” one New York Giants fan said.

“Come back bro,” a Baltimore Ravens fan said.
