He signed for the Chiefs in 2017 after being selected in the first round of the NFL Draft.
And Mahomes has built his family life outside of football.
He proposed to his high school sweetheart Brittany in September 2020.
And the couple married in 2022 in front of family and friends.
A historic interview with Mahomes has resurfaced on social media.
He discussed the impact Brittany has had, dating back to when they met in high school.
The Chiefs star said, “She dealt with me in high school and in college when I was just a young kid.
“She made me better, and I knew she was going to be the one for a long time.
“I probably made her wait too long until we got married.
“She helped me grow into the person I am.
“I don’t think I’d be where I am today without her.”
The couple welcomed their third child this year.
Brittany was then at the Super Bowl a month later to see Patrick play in the big game for a fifth time.
His Chiefs team were beaten by the Philadelphia Eagles.
But Brittany still showed her pride for her husband’s efforts.

In an interview with Today in 2020, she revealed how it was “surreal” to see Patrick’s career develop.
“He ended up going to Texas Tech and that’s when it really hit me,” she said.
“‘Oh s**t, he might go play professional football.’
“It was surreal to see him living his dream.
“Seeing him grow as an athlete and as a man in general was just amazing.”
