ESPN host Monica McNutt suffered an awkward mistake during a live taping of First Take, which caused Dave Portnoy to blast her.
The 35-year-old filled in for the usual host, Molly Qerim, during Friday’s edition of First Take.

McNutt was alongside Stephen A. Smith as the two welcomed comedian Druski onto the ESPN program.
Druski was on the set rocking the jersey of Detroit Lions legend Barry Sanders.
However, McNutt revealed she believed the comedian was actually wearing the jersey of Cleveland Browns rookie Shedeur Sanders.
“Well, it’s a blast to have you here. Thank you so much for joining us,” McNutt said.
“So, the jersey. Let’s get into it, because obviously this ties to one Shedeur Sanders who balled out in his first preseason game.”
Druski quickly jumped in to correct McNutt, “No, no, no, no, no, this is Barry Sanders.”
“I’m sorry, I apologize. Barry Sanders,” McNutt instantly said.
It’s worth noting that McNutt is usually a basketball analyst, but the error was quite brutal since the jersey was blue and not brown or orange like Sanders would wear.
The gaffe went viral and caught the attention of the Barstool CEO, Portnoy, who commented on the sequence.
“This is next level stupid here,” Portnoy said.
Fans were also quick to react to the live TV blunder.
“How did she not know that smh,” one wrote.
“Oh lawd,” another commented.
“Fumble on the play,” a third said.

“There’s no way,” a fourth added.
While Qerim remains out for First Take, the network had a different guest host on Monday.
McNutt did not appear on the program.
It’s not known if she wasn’t previously scheduled or if this was a response to her on-air slip.
