Tell us about the USP of the show.

The unique selling point of the show lies in its rooted storytelling and strong emotional connection. It is set against a culturally rich backdrop, which makes it visually engaging while dealing with deeply relevant themes. The blend of tradition and personal struggle gives it a distinctive flavour, making it more than just entertainment—it is a reflection of society and identity.

Explain your character traits and tell us you took this up?

My character is layered—she is resilient, emotionally strong, and yet vulnerable in moments that demand it. What attracted me to the role was her journey; she’s not a one-toned character. She evolves, questions norms, and grows, which is something I find very fulfilling as an actor. I wanted to bring that complexity to life and challenge myself in the process.

The look is authentic to the region and character. From the fabrics to the jewellery and styling, everything is designed to reflect the cultural setting and personality of the character.

You have been picking conventionally unusual roles. How do you choose the roles that you want to be part of?

I am drawn to roles that feel authentic and leave an impact, even if they aren’t “conventional” in the usual sense. I look for depth, a strong arc, and something that pushes me to explore new aspects of myself. I need to connect to the story and the intent behind it—if that clicks, I am all in.

How is it to work with the cast of the show?

It has been a wonderful experience. We have a very dedicated and passionate team. The chemistry off-screen helps in building strong dynamics on-screen. Everyone brings their energy and style to the table, which makes it a very enriching space to work in.

What are your personal expectations from this role?

I hope this role resonates with people and allows them to see parts of their own journey in my character’s struggles and triumphs. I want to grow with this character—emotionally and creatively. I also hope it opens up more opportunities for nuanced and meaningful roles going forward.

Tell us about the look given to you in the show.

The look is authentic to the region and character. From the fabrics to the jewellery and styling, everything is designed to reflect the cultural setting and personality of the character. The team has done a fantastic job of ensuring the visual identity is both striking and believable.

How comfortable are you with the Rajasthani dialect in the show?

It was a challenge initially, but a very rewarding one. I spent time working with a dialect coach to get the nuances right without making it sound forced. It’s a beautiful dialect with a lot of rhythm, and once I got into the flow, it became an integral part of the character. Now, I quite enjoy speaking it!
