THE cause of death of rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine’s pal has been confirmed by cops.
Dominican influencer Ariela La Langosta was found behind the wheel of her car on Sunday and investigators said she was likely “targeted.”

La Langosta, who was also known as Ariela Mejia-Polanco, was found with gunshot wounds, according to Westchester County cops.
Her body was found in Mount Vernon – around 20 miles from Manhattan.
Cops have launched a homicide investigation, adding that her death wasn’t “a random act.”
She worked at a New York bar and previously appeared in Tekashi’s videos.
Tekashi, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, described his pal as a “tremendous woman” and described her as his sister.
He labeled her the Queen of New York.
Tekashi also said New York wouldn’t be the same following his friend’s death.
“You supported me in everything,” He said.
La Langosta appeared in the music video for his song Wapae, which was released in 2023 and stars artists such as Angel Dior, Bulin 47, and Lenier.
Wapae featured in the rapper’s third album, Leyenda Viva.
She worked at the restaurant IKON New York and the establishment paid tribute to her online.
In an Instagram post, the restaurant informed customers that it would be closed until Thursday.
La Langosta was described as a “humble soul.”
“She was a brilliant, humble soul with incredible energy — the kind of person who could light up any room she entered,” the tribute said.
“She will be deeply missed by all of us.”
Chiefs at Starlet, a lounge based in Queens, also paid tribute to their former staffer.
“She was a one-of-a-kind soul—a beautiful friend, loving mother, and daughter whose smile and energy lit up every room she entered,” a statement shared on social media said.
“Her energy will be forever be missed, but her spirit will always live on with us.”

Just weeks before her death, she shared footage from her vacation in Colombia.
She was seen flaunting her image in the sun-kissed snaps by the pool.
On June 7, she wrote in an Instagram caption she felt “happy and blessed.”
She donned some tiny black hotpants with a faux snakeskin top, which boasted of having a plunging neckline.
She rounded off her look with a straw cowboy hat.
In the snaps she posed on a bar with her curves on full display, before posing in a mirror and filming herself while zooming in and out.
Her floral tattoo was visible on the top of her left thigh, with the star showing off her flat stomach and ample assets in the process.
The comments section of the post has been inundated with messages of condolence.
