Cam Ward fights with own Tennessee Titans teammate as No1 NFL Draft pick gets heated in scorching practice

TEMPERS reportedly flared during Tennessee Titans’ pre-season training this week as Cam Ward clashed with Jeffrey Simmons.

A scuffle, according to ESPN, ensued after Ward celebrated a successful touchdown pass to Calvin Ridley towards the end of practice.

Simmons is said to have pushed the franchise’s new QB in the face after taking umbrage to his antics[/caption]

Former Miami Hurricanes star Ward is said to have stopped and pushed Simmons before making his way over to his team-mates for the drill to celebrate.

He is then said to have performed his ‘Zombieland’ celebration in front of the defensive player, who didn’t take it well.

It’s claimed an irate Simmons proceeded to SHOVE Ward’s mask wth both hands.

Simmons’ helmet was reportedly knocked off during the incident.

Ward’s offensive linemen are said to have rushed in to help and eventually diffuse the situation.

Ward didn’t let the incident stop him from completing practice, which Simmons didn’t finish.

Both players are said to have been punished for their respective actions in the melee, with Titans head coach Brian Callahan reportedly making them run after practice finished two players later.

Titans left tackle Dan Moore Jr appeared to take aim at Simmons for his alleged actions after practice.

“That goes without saying.”

The Tennessee Titans will be back in action on Friday, taking on the Minnesota Vikings in their final game of pre-season.

They will kick off their 2025 NFL season on September 7 with a trip to the Denver Broncos.
