Soda drinkers have six days to claim $16 from $8.9million settlement – and you don’t even need a receipt to get the cash

You don’t even need a receipt to get the cash through the class action lawsuit.

The money is being handed out by American drinks brand Poppi to settle claims over false advertising.

Poppi manufactures sparkling prebiotic drinks of different flavours.

Its soda products were promoted as being “gut healthy” – but this is disputed.

Plaintiffs in the case say the “gut healthy” claim is not backed up by science.

The settlement will benefit customers who bought Poppi drinks between January 23, 2020, and July 18, 2025.

Customers can claim the cash no matter what flavor or package size they purchased.

Under the terms, customers who do not provide any proof of purchase can receive a maximum payment of $16.

However, people who are able to show receipts could receive even more.

With proof of purchase, customers can receive $0.75 per single can, $3 per four-pack, $6 per eight-pack and $9 per 12 or 15-pack.

This can be a receipt or an equivalent form that proves the purchase and its date.

Exact payment sizes may vary depending on the number of claims filed.

The deadline to submit a valid claim form is September 26, 2025.

And the final approval hearing for the case is set for November 20, 2025.

Meanwhile, Panera Bread customers only have until November 11 to claim a cash payment of $6,500 from a massive $2.5million settlement pot.

The iconic bakery and café chain has been accused of not doing enough to prevent valuable customer information from being leaked.

Panera Bread has been accused of failing to protect consumer data in a leak incident that occurred on March 23, 2024.

Plaintiffs argued that Panera Bread did not do enough to stop the leak from happening.

This breach compromised information such as Social Security numbers, according to the filing.

Despite not admitting to any wrongdoing, Panera Bread has agreed to pay out $2.5 million to settle the claims against it.
