SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The State of South Dakota is still facing computer issues.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s office stated in a Facebook post that they are unable to work on their computers. They also said their phone lines are down.
They said it’s “anticipated” to be fixed later today.
South Dakota Department of Public Safety said the driver’s license exam stations will be closed Wednesday due to the outage.
Computers went down for state offices Tuesday morning.
Lisa Rahja, executive communications manager for Bureau of Information and Technology, told KELOLAND News that electrical power at the State Data Center was impacted.
“The event affected all state hosted services and some network communications. The State Engineer and BIT technical staff have investigated the root cause and are taking measures to remediate,” Rahja’s emailed statement said.
