Williams, 43, recently revealed that she has lost 31 pounds over the past year.
However, the 23-time Grand Slam winner shared that she’s gotten some help from a popular weight loss drug.
Williams told Vogue that she’s taking the drug Zepbound, a GLP-1 medication.
She made the decision after she tried to lose weight with just diet and exercise after giving birth to her second child in 2023.
“My whole life is being in the gym, working out, running, training, HIIT training, dancing, every single thing you can think of,” Williams said to the outlet.
“I would always get to a certain point on the scale, but I could never get below that.
“That’s when I decided that it was time to try something different and got on the GLP-1 with Ro.”
Williams, who retired from tennis in 2022, also spoke about the drug to People and the Today Show.
She explained that she’d have quick bursts of weight loss, only for her weight to stay the same.
Williams would reach out to health care company Ro, where she is now a paid spokesperson and her husband is an investor in, for more information on the GLP-1 medication.
“I never was able to get to the weight I needed to be no matter what I did, no matter how much I trained,” she told People.
“It was crazy because I’d never been in a place like that in my life where I worked so hard, ate so healthy and could never get down to where I needed to be at.
‘I had never taken shortcuts in my career and always worked really hard. I know what it takes to be the best.
“So it was very frustrating to do all the same things and never be able to change that number on the scale or the way my body looked.”

Williams insists that the drug has helped strengthen her healthy and fit regime she was already utilizing in her daily life.
She claims that the drug has made her feel more active and her joints have less pain.
Williams’ confession comes about a month after she began Ozempic rumors by showcasing her abs in a mirror selfie on Instagram.
Then, she displayed her slim figure in a bikini, and more concern grew among fans.
