Cops presume that Emmanuel, seven months, is dead – a week after his mom Rebecca said he was taken while she was in a parking lot.
Rebecca, 41, has doubled down on the claims her baby was snatched even though she now faces a murder charge.
She and Jake, 32, were arrested on August 22, but cops in Riverside County investigated a home located in Moreno Valley the night before relating to allegations of child abuse.
The property is located in the Cottonwood Avenue area.
Cops have confirmed the probe relates to the Haro’s and said it remains ongoing.
No arrests have been made in connection with this particular investigation and police have said they’re not releasing any further details, per the Orange County Register.
Rebecca and Jake are due to appear in court for the first time today – August 26.
But, on Sunday, he was seen wearing prison overalls as he joined detectives in the search for Emmanuel.
Emmanuel’s body wasn’t found after the remote piece of land in Moreno Valley, located near California’s 60 Freeway and Gilman Springs Road, was combed.
But, retired homicide detective Chris McDonough speculated on the reasons behind the search.
“So maybe they were thinking, if we take him down here, he’s going to bring us back to the reenactment of, potentially, how this child got to that area,” he told NewsNation.
Cops have said the investigation to find Emmanuel’s remains is ongoing.
Rebecca and Jake were arrested on murder charges after cops came to the conclusion that they think Emmanuel wasn’t kidnapped.
They were arrested in Cabazon – around 30 miles from the property on Cottonwood Avenue that cops were called to.
Rebecca and Jake are being held in jail without bail.
But, in a jailhouse interview with the Orange County Register, Rebecca vowed she wouldn’t give up on Emmanuel.
She also wants to join the search effort for her son.
“I want to be out looking for my baby,” she stressed.
