SECURITY were seen wrestling a stage invader to the ground at a controversial country music star’s gig.
A reveller jumped on stage as singer Gavin Adcock, 26, performed at his gig in Wichita, Kansas.

As Gavin performed his set, the concert-goer was seen running across the stage.
It happened when the singer was talking to the crowd and the man appeared out of nowhere.
He then appeared to lunge at Gavin, and was immediately tackled to the ground by a security guard.
The singer was heard shouting: “Get this drunk outta here!”
Gavin shared the moment it all kicked off in a video on social media, and captioned it with: “What happens when you jump the barricade at a country concert.”
CONTROVERSIAL STAR
Some fans suggested the stage invasion was in response to Gavin’s recent comments about Beyoncé.
The singer hit the headlines in late June when he questioned her credentials as a country artist.
Gavin’s comments came when her album Cowboy Carter was one place higher in the charts than his debut record, My Own Worst Enemy, on Apple Music’s Country chart.
Discussing the albums that were placing higher than his, which was at No. 4 at the time, he said: “One of them’s Beyoncé — you can tell her we’re coming for her f***ing A!
“That s**t ain’t country music and it ain’t ever been country music, and it ain’t gonna be country music.”
In a follow-up video on Instagram, he seemed to backtrack and praise Bey’s 2016 Super Bowl Halftime Show, calling it “pretty kicka** back in the day.”
However, he then added that her album Cowboy Carter “shouldn’t be labeled as country music”.
“It doesn’t sound country, it doesn’t feel country,” Gavin said.
“I just don’t think that people who have dedicated their whole lives to this genre and this lifestyle should have to compete or just watch that album stay at the top just because she’s Beyoncé.”
BECOMING A STAR
Gavin started writing songs in high school, but it was not until a knee injury during a football game in 2021 that he turned to his music.
While recovering, he released his first single Ain’t No Cure and was then signed to Warner Music Nashville.
Gavin’s biggest hit so far is A Cigarette, which has had over 150 million streams.
Last year he released his debut album, Actin’ Up Again.
