The announcement on Instagram broke the internet as the post showed Kelce getting down on one knee as Swift said yes to the marriage question.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” the caption read.
Kelce popped the question just over a week before the start of the 2025 NFL season.
The news has now been followed by a surge in Swift’s Super Bowl halftime odds.
The Super Bowl will take place at the San Francisco 49ers’ Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
Fans have put out the theory that the pop singer will headline the big game in February after her appearance on Kelce’s New Heights podcast and the engagement announcement on Tuesday.
On the regulated exchange and prediction site, Kalshi, 61 percent of users are convinced that Swift will take on the performance role.
The 14-time Grammy winner is the runaway favorite for fans, as Post Malone is in second at just 16 percent of predictions.
Heavy metal band Metallica is currently in third at 11 percent.
Swift sparked speculation that she will be the headliner of the Super Bowl with numerous clues in her recent New Heights appearance.
The 35-year-old brought up that sourdough has “taken over my life in a huge way” and that she thinks about bread “60 percent of the time now.
Fans have pointed out that the 49ers’ mascot is named Sourdough Sam, who’s a gold miner and shares the name of Swift’s favorite snack.
Swift’s 60 percent comment could be a nod to Super Bowl LX, which is the 60th edition of the special NFL event.
And she mentioned the number 47 numerous times.
The number could be a reference to Swift’s 47th Eras Tour stop, which took place at Levi’s Stadium in 2023.
One last hint was a Lombardi trophy seen in the back of Swift and Kelce during the podcast appearance.
Swift has been rumored to have said no to offers to perform at the Super Bowl in the past to focus on re-recording her first six albums.
But in May, she announced she won the battle to receive the master recordings of them in a deal with Shamrock Capital.
