Clark, 23, recently suffered a new injury as her ankle has started to play up.
The Fever are hopeful that she will be back on the court sooner rather than later.
Coach Stephanie White revealed that Clark took part in a walk-through earlier this week.
She said: “She went through it (On Monday), I want to see her in practice.
“Live in practice.
“I want to see her continue to work to not just build endurance, but to be able to handle contact (for) 94 feet as it’s going to be in-game.
“To be able to do that and sustain from an endurance standpoint.”
White added that while Clark is ramping up her recovery, it will still take multiple practices until she is back competing.
Clark has missed 24 games so far this year, including the last 15 straight, due to a strain in her right groin.
She has only made 13 appearances for the Fever and averaged 16.5 points as well as 8.8 assists and 5.0 rebounds.
Clark’s last taste of action was on July 15 as she took part in the pregame shoot around Sunday in Minnesota.
The Fever have just six games left to qualify for the playoffs.
They are currently tied with Golden State for one of the final two spots
The Fever next take on the Los Angeles Sparks on Friday at the Staples Center in California.
Clark rose to prominence last season during her stunning rookie breakthrough.
She has helped the WNBA increase its TV ratings and has signed with Nike as a signature athlete.
White said: “There’s very few people who get the opportunity to say they have a logo and to make the impact she makes – not just in the sport but globally – just by being who she is.
“She’s a connector. She brings people together.”
