Users can now subscribe to Sunday Ticket on a month-to-month basis[/caption]
Earlier this year, the streaming service revealed that NFL Sunday Ticket could be paid for in eight or 12 monthly, non-cancellable payments.
Previously, the service had to be purchased in one lump sum ahead of the season.
However, customers no longer have to commit to an entire season of NFL Sunday Ticket.
According to Front Office Sports, the football streaming service can now be purchased on a month-to-month basis.
It can be cancelled at any time, but it comes at a considerable price increase.
The monthly subscription is $85 a month for new users and $115 a month for returning users, according to FOS, more than it would be if paid for in non-cancellable payment plans.
For new users, it is a $16 per month increase in price.
For returning users, it is a $20.50 per month increase.
The new subscription option is coming in “early September,” according to YouTube’s Sunday Ticket FAQs.
YouTube might have some trouble selling their new package though, as fans aren’t thrilled with how much cheaper it is for new users versus returning users.
“So returning users are being punished? Makes sense,” one fan said.
“Talk about appreciating your customers,” another fan said.
“Wait… WHAT??? It’s more expensive for returning users??? Pass,” a third fan said.
“With prices like these, most folks will sail the seas,” a fourth fan said.
