SABRINA Carpenter has lifted the lid on her relationship with Barry Keoghan, suggesting he dumped her and left her crying “so much I almost fainted.”
The American singer dated the Irish Oscar nominee for a year until last December and she has opened up about her rollercoaster love life on her new album, Man’s Best Friend.

Despite suggesting they were on and off for much of their time together, she says she was left devastated when he eventually pulled the plug.
On the final track Goodbye, she sings: “Broke my heart on Saturday, guess overnight, your feelings changed.
“And I have cried so much I almost fainted.
“To show you just how much it hurts, I wish I had a gun or words.”
In the chorus, she continues: “Goodbye means that you’re losing me for life. Can’t call it love, then call it quits. Can’t shoot me down, then shoot the s**t.
“Did you forget that it was you who said goodbye? So you don’t get to be the one who cries.
“Can’t have your cake and eat it too, by walking out, that means you choose goodbye.”
The record appears to document their entire 12-month relationship, from falling in love, to a series of temporary break-ups before they finally split for good.
But on Never Getting Laid, she suggests her partner had a wandering eye.
She sings: “No way to know just who you’re thinking of, I just wish you didn’t have a mind that could flip like a switch, that could wander and drift, to a neighbouring bitch.”
Although she doesn’t name Barry on the record, fans are convinced that the song Go Go Juice has direct references to her exes Shawn Mendes, Barry and actor Dylan O’Brien, as she sings names that rhyme.
On contacting former flames after having alcohol, she sings: “I’m just drinking to call someone, ain’t nobody safe when I’m a little bit drunk.
“Could be John or Larry, gosh, who’s to say? Or the one that rhymes with ‘villain’ if I’m feeling that way.”
Again referring to being broken up with, she sings: “A girl who knows her liquor is a girl who’s been dumped, sippin on my go go juice I can’t be blamed, some good old fashioned fun sure numbs the pain.”

But there are also a series of saucy lyrics which are sure to raise eyebrows, with Sabrina previously admitting: “The album is not for any pearl clutchers.”
Today she has released a music video to the second single Tears, in which she stars opposite Oscar nominee Colman Domingo, who appears as a drag queen.
In the lyrics, she sings about being “wet at the thought of you being a responsible guy,” before adding: “Treating me like you’re supposed to do, tears run down my thighs.”
Describing the album on Instagram, Sabrina said: “It’s a real party for heartbreak, a celebration of disappointment!
“It’s laughing at yourself and your poor choices as everything is falling apart, it’s wondering how loyalty and love always gets you back to third wheeling, spoken sarcastically like a true 25 year old!”
Man’s Best Friend comes a year after the release of her No. 1 record Short n’ Sweet which included three chart-topping singles, Espresso, Taste and Please Please Please.
