The WWE icon packed on even more size over the last few years for his lead role in the upcoming adaptation of the hit MMA documentary ‘The Smashing Machine’.

Johnson, 53, piled on several pounds to play mixed martial arts cult figure Mark Kerr.

But at a recent outing with co-star Emily Blunt, he looked noticeably trimmer – although he’s still carrying a hefty amount of muscle.

A clip of the smaller-looking Johnson went viral on X and received a slew of comments from stunned viewers.

One wrote on X: “How in the hell did he lose all of that muscle so fast?”

Another said: “What happened to him?”

And another said: “Dwayne the Skipping Stone.”

One remarked: “The Rock is close to 60… Maintenance on that size wasn’t psychical possible.

“Dave Bautista did the same… Shout out to them for living healthier lifestyles.”

Another chimed in: “Damn, he’s half of what he was!”

The dramatic adaptation of ‘The Smashing Machine’, which was first revealed back in 2019, is set to hit the silver screen on October 3.

Johnson is excited by the imminent release of the project, which he admits scared him to death.

He told Vanity Fair: “It was very real. I had not experienced that in a very, very, very long time.

“Where I was really scared and thinking, ‘I don’t know if I can do this. Can I do this?’

“I realized that maybe these opportunities weren’t coming my way because I was too scared to explore this stuff.”
