THE Cleveland Browns have been spotted apparently scouting another quarterback for next year’s NFL Draft.
General manager Andrew Berry, 38, is on the hunt for his next
quarterback project as the Browns look to move on from a dismal 2024 campaign.

Their next target may have been found as ESPN shared an image on X of Berry and owner Jimmy Haslam, 71, at Ohio State’s season opener against Texas.
Berry is preparing the Browns for their season-opener against the
Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, September 7.
The Buckeyes ran out 14-7 winners against the Longhorns as college
football returns.
Suggestions are mounting that 21-year-old Arch Manning could be on the Browns’ recruitment radar.
Manning is the son of television personality Cooper, and nephew to NFL legends Eli and Peyton.
He has taken over as the Longhorns’ first-choice quarterback after Quinn Ewers was drafted by the Miami Dolphins.
With pressure mounting, Manning has faced criticism after his
performance for the Longhorns saw them suffer an opening-day loss.
The rising star managed just 17 completions from his 30 attempts,
mustering 170 yards, one touchdown, and an interception.
Texas entered the season as the nation’s top-ranked college side.
Despite this difficult performance, Manning remains a core prospect for the Browns as they look to end their quarterback struggles.
Rookie Shedeur Sanders, 23, has retained his place in the Browns roster despite a tough start to life in Cleveland.
A rough preseason outing against the Los Angeles Rams, being sacked five times.
Despite this, the Browns held on for a 19-17 victory on Saturday, August 23.
The 27-year-old Kenny Pickett has been traded to the Las Vegas Raiders, adding to the quarterback merry-go-round.
Joe Flacco, 40, has been named as the Browns’ starting quarterback for the 2025 season, with GM Berry planning for the coming seasons.
Berry’s Browns are in a strong position when it comes to their
quarterback hunt as they possess two first-round NFL Draft picks for
2026.
At least one of these picks is expected to be used on a quarterback, leading to early suggestions that Manning is in the mix.
Manning is one of the highest-profile names in the college game, making him a hot prospect for several NFL franchises.
While a poor performance got the better of him in his first start for
the Longhorns, a strong season could catapult him into a first round
selection.
The Browns will continue their search for a long-term answer at
quarterback, with Manning remaining firmly in contention.
