The recall order was first issued in mid-August and safety chiefs warned that the contaminated products could cause serious or life threatening infections.
Safety chiefs warned that the infections could cause sepsis.
This poses a risk to shoppers who may be immuno-compromised.
A total of 16 products were listed in the expanded recall order, as confirmed by the Food and Drug Administration.
Some of the products impacted include DermaMed skin protectants, and Gel Rite hand sanitizers.
The items were sold across the US and Puerto Rico.
