NBC’S cameras showed the loud reaction to the Dallas Cowboys’ entrance to the field against the hostile home team Philadelphia Eagles.
The Dallas Cowboys wouldn’t get the last laugh, however, as they lost 24-20 on Thursday night.

The Cowboys and Eagles are heated rivals, and that fact was on full display in the NFL season-opener.
The first showing of hostility came when the Cowboys entered Lincoln Financial Field minutes before the game.
NBC‘s cameras captured the Dallas players in the tunnel waiting for their cue to enter the field.
The Cowboys players then got the okay to jog onto the field, but they were greeted with loud booing from the Philadelphia crowd.
Play-by-play man Mike Tirico commented on the City of Brotherly Love’s reaction to the Cowboys’ field arrival.
“Philly fans are in mid-season form,” he said.
It wouldn’t take long for both teams to get into controversy, as just six seconds into the game saw Eagles’ Jalen Carter was ejected from the contest.
The defensive tackle spat in the direction of Prescott.
The incident occurred during a dead ball when the Cowboys were lining up for their first offensive drive.
Footage that appeared on NBC’s broadcast later in the game seemingly showed that Prescott sparked Carter’s reaction by spitting in his direction first.
After the game, Prescott explained that he needed to spit and didn’t want to hit his own teammates, and it went to Carter’s direction.
Carter apologized for his actions following the contest.
A scuffle also occurred in the first quarter after the two teams each scored a touchdown.
During the Eagles’ kickoff, two players were tangled up, which led to both teams fighting.

Multiple flags were thrown on the field, and both were issued to the Cowboys.
The game got even more dramatic as lightning in the area caused a one-hour-plus delay.
The contest resumed and ended at 12:18 am ET.
It will be hard for a more drama-filled contest in the league’s second game of the season.
