According to Front Office Sports, the reporter has agreed to a multi-year contract extension.
Darlington will continue his regular appearances on Sunday NFL Countdown and SportsCenter.
He continues to be one of ESPN’s leading NFL voices.
He has also secured a role on the network’s coverage team for its first-ever Super Bowl broadcast in 2027.
This marks another milestone in his rising career as a premier football reporter.
Darlington will also officially cover tennis and golf, having reported on both sports for ESPN before.
His new contract has him joining the network’s reporting teams at Wimbledon, the Masters and the PGA Championship.
Darlington was the reporter on scene during Scottie Scheffler’s infamous arrest at the PGA Championship last summer.
He captured the strange events on his phone, discussing them on ESPN to inform and update fans.
This moment put him on the map as a reporter.
Darlington graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in journalism.
From here, he was hired by the Orlando Sentinel as a beat writer.
He covered the Florida Gators in 2004.
The following year, he joined the Palm Beach Post to report on the Miami Dolphins.
