NFL fans will be familiar with Scott Hanson but less so with his private life.
The 54-year-old is the host of NFL RedZone and has been in the hotseat since it began in 2009.

The 2025 season will be his 17th as presenter and he has kept his job following ESPN’s purchase of the show.
Hanson confirmed for the first time ever that RedZone will now include commercials.
He revealed it was not his decision but assured viewers they do not have to worry about missing any touchdowns as the ads will come in a ‘double box’ format with both the commercial and game on screen.
Who is Scott Hanson?
Michigan-born Hanson is a much-loved NFL host.
He studied at Syracuse University and spent four years as a highly-rated footballer for The Orange under head coaches Dick MacPherson and Paul Pasqualoni.
Hanson was a team-mate of Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison and was named Scout Team Player of the Year in 1992.
He landed his first job as a reporter a year later for NBC affiliate WPBN-TV and eventually ended up at CSN Mid-Atlantic before joining NFL Network in 2006 as a reporter, anchor, and host.
Hanson is a Christian and has gone on mission trips to Africa and he volunteered at an orphanage in Russia.
Is Scott Hanson married?
Hanson lives in Los Angeles and he is not believed to be in a relationship.
Instead he is in love with football and has joked why he is not married.
In an old tweet, he wrote: “[I’m] not married – but I’ve prepared my speech for my future wife… ‘Honey, the kids’ college fund and that European vacation you want to take kinda depend on me watching all this.’”
And to ensure he doesn’t miss anything, he has a five screen TV setup at home.
Hanson said: “On my wall in my living room, I have a media wall that I had custom built where I have five televisions and I turn all five of them on.
“I put Sunday Night Football on the big screen. I put NFL Network to watch all the highlights to do a mental checklist of, ‘Yep, we showed that on RedZone.’
“Then for kicks, I’ll put on a news program and then I’ll put on a Marvel movie or a Star Wars movie.
“I can have all that stimulation and it’s not an issue.
“In fact, it’s kind of a comfort zone. I realize I’m bizarre and that’s probably why I’m not married.”
