IT looks like the Cotswolds is becoming the new Hollywood as several stars purchase homes in the picturesque English countryside.
After the Beckham family and Ellen DeGeneres, it’s now being reported that power couple Beyonce and Jay Z are in the final stages of purchasing 58 acres of land on the outskirts of Wiggington.

The pair, who were declared the richest celebrity couple, have reportedly received planning permission to build a “spectacular rural estate” and if they go ahead with the plans, they won’t be far from Great Tew, which is already home to huge names in the showbiz world.
However, after previous backlash from villagers over disturbances by high-profile moves, the jury is out on whether Beyonce, 44, and Jay-Z, 55, will be accepted into the local community.
A resident told MailOnline: “I don’t give a flying toss,” before adding that his wife has seen the couple head into Burford Garden Centre in their Range Rovers.
“When someone points them out to my wife, her first reaction is to ask who they are. Some of these so-called celebrities I’ve never actually heard of.”
Another resident, who works at Great Tew’s village pub, Falkland Arms, told The Times: “We love our local clientele and we don’t want the couple’s arrival to bring in a different sort.”
It was previously claimed that Beyonce and Jay-Z began looking for a home in England after the Los Angeles wildfires.
A source told Daily Mail’s Eden Confidential: “They will always be based in LA but the UK is on the agenda. Beyonce loves the UK because they support everything she does.”
The couple are “focused on the Cotswolds now because of the land and space. They’ve stayed there.
“They’ve been looking for properties and will buy if they find somewhere that feels like home but are looking at short-term agreements while they make their decision.”
The Sun have contacted Beyonce and Jay-Z’s representatives for comment.
In 2023, the couple purchased a stunning house in Malibu, California for $200 million.
The property, which was designed by architect Tadao Ando, established a record for the most expensive residence sold in California.
Beyonce and Jay-Z first met in the early 2000s at an MTV Spring Break Festival in Cancun, Mexico but were said to be just friends for a year and half before their equation turned romantic.
The two went on to collaborate together on several songs, including her hit single, Crazy in Love, which released in 2003.
The music titans kept a low profile while dating and eventually got married in a private ceremony in Tribeca, New York on April 4, 2008.
At the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, Beyonce revealed she was pregnant with their first child, before welcoming Blue Ivy Carter on January 7, 2012.
Five years later, on June 18, 2017, her father Matthew Knowles confirmed she had given birth to twins called Rumi and Sir.
