SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Rapid City Police are looking for a suspect involved in a Saturday night robbery.
Over the weekend, police were dispatched to a northeastern gas station where a man there claimed to have been robbed at gunpoint.
Allegedly, the victim was looking to buy marijuana when they met a woman who offered to sell some to him.
As he entered her apartment, a man who was holding a gun began assaulting him while the woman locked the door.
The man demanded for the victim’s property and phone. Once the victim complied, he managed to escape the apartment before running to a nearby store to call the Rapid City police.
After investigating, the police identified 25-year-old Shayna Long as the woman who invited the victim inside.
Long was placed under arrest for First Degree Robbery, False Imprisonment, and Interference with Emergency Communication.
Police are working to identify the male suspect who brandished the gun during the incident.
