A 5.1-MAGNITUDE earthquake has rattled the area around Athens.
The quake struck just off the coast of Evia island, near the Greek capital, on Tuesday morning.

The quake, of magnitude 5.2, struck at a depth of 2.3 kilometres, according to the Athens Geodynamic Institute.
The earthquake hit shortly before 12.30 at night – before a smaller aftershock followed 15 minutes later, measuring 2.5 on the Richter scale.
There are no reports of damage or fatalities.
