HEAVY metal drummer Allen Blickle has died at the age of 42.
Blickle rose to fame as the founding drummer of the heavy metal band Baroness.

His cause of death remains unknown.
“It breaks my heart to have to share the news that my dear friend, creative partner and former bandmate Allen Blickle passed away a few days ago,” John Baizley, the frontman of the group, said.
“I’m still in shock that he’s gone.
“We ask for understanding as his family and this band process his passing and grieve his loss. Allen, I love you and miss you.”
Blickle founded Baroness alongside Baizley in 2003.
Summer Welch, a bassist, and Tim Loose, a guitarist, made up the Savannah, Georgia, band.
Baroness released three albums during Blickle’s stint in the band.
He was in the band for 10 years and was succeeded by the drummer Sebastian Thomson.
Blickle’s death comes more than a decade after he was involved in a bus crash.
He was touring the UK with his bandmates in 2012 when their bus plunged 30 feet down a viaduct.
Blickle was rushed to the hospital with a broken vertebrae.
He opened up about the accident and revealed he didn’t want to be “defined” by it.
“It made me rethink a lot in my life and has been the most difficult time I’ve been through thus far,” he told The Fader in 2013.
” It was a horrible memory, but I’m trying not to let it define me or stop me from doing what I love. Let it be and keep moving.”
