Big Brother fans vow to boycott show and call it the ‘worst ever’ after frontrunner is forced out in production twist

BIG Brother fans have expressed their outrage over the shocking eviction of a frontrunner over the weekend, which wasn’t shown on the live stream.

The evictions typically occur during Thursday’s live shows and are immediately followed by an exit interview with host Julie Chen Moonves.

However, production decided to shake things up this week and abruptly booted fan-favorite Rachel Reilly with no warning whatsoever.

In fact, viewers weren’t informed of the elimination until Saturday, when the livestream resumed after going dark on Friday, when the switch-up went down.

It was finally aired during Tuesday night’s episode, since Sunday’s episode was canceled due to the Video Music Awards.

The eviction also didn’t unfold like usual, where the majority house vote decided the contestant’s fate.

Instead, the houseguests faced off in a safety chain competition that left Rachel in the dust.

FAN BACKLASH

Fans were furious over the unexpected move, especially given that Rachel was a frontrunner to win the competition, and with just weeks left until the finale.

“How did anyone in production think this was a good idea? How will they even justify this in the show? An absolute unrecoverable fumble,” one person wrote in a popular online forum.

We better get the jury battleback holy fk!!! Worst episode so far of #BigBrother! Whyyyyy,” someone else wrote on X.

The fury spilled over on Big Brother‘s official Instagram page, where fans begged to know more about what led to Rachel’s sudden eviction.

A video was shared of the remaining houseguests recording their goodbyes to last week’s booted contestant, Mickey Lee, where fans went off in the comments.

We want to know what happened to @rachelereillyvillegas,” someone demanded.

“Can’t wait to see the goodbye messages for Rachel… oh wait,” wrote another.

“In the nine years I’ve been watching this show, i’ve NEVER seen a twist compromise the integrity of the game quite like this one,” a third complained.

“Won’t be watching anymore!” declared a fourth.

“I hope Rachel got a check since yall wasted her time the season is def over for me,” a fifth added.

Others in another thread wondered if Rachel will eventually return to the house, considering viewers didn’t see her departure, nor did she partake in an exit interview.

Big Brother’s Steamiest Showmances

Contestants are no strangers to hooking up during their months of being sequestered in the Big Brother house. Here are some of the most buzzed-about relationships that have blossomed on screen:

“All the new promos are actually making it seem like Rachel may possibly be brought back. They are playing way too much into this mastermind twist,” questioned a fan.

“Maybe production will and admit they messed up bad and just fix it,” a second speculated.

“Somehow there’s more people theorizing Rachel’s return each day that goes by lol,” chimed in another.

Rachel will supposedly be back on Thursday for a live chat with Julie, and a second eviction of the week is expected.

There are now only eight remaining players in the running for Season 27’s $750,000 grand prize, including Ashley Hollis, Morgan Pope, Vince Panaro, Ava Pearl, Keanu Soto, Kelley Jorgensen, Lauren Domingue, and Will Williams.
