A FORMER NFL first-round pick who once had the world at his feet is now looking for work just one week into the 2025 season.
The Los Angeles Chargers have cut ties with wide receiver Jalen Reagor via an injury settlement, according to The Athletic’s Daniel Popper.

Reagor, the 21st overall selection in the 2020 NFL Draft, has now been let go by four teams in five years.
Adding to the sting, he was picked just one spot ahead of All-Pro wideout Justin Jefferson, who went 22nd to the Minnesota Vikings and has since become one of the league’s brightest stars.
Reagor’s NFL journey began with the Philadelphia Eagles but it was a rocky start from the beginning.
He lasted just two seasons in Philly before being waived in 2022.
Since then, Reagor, 26, has bounced between teams, suiting up briefly for the Vikings, then the Patriots, and most recently the Chargers.
He joined L.A. ahead of the 2024 season, where a depleted receiver room gave him a shot at redemption.
Reagor saw limited action last year, mostly as a depth option and special teams contributor.
He finished with just seven catches for 100 yards and no touchdowns.
Despite those modest numbers, the Chargers initially kept him around for 2025 — though only on the practice squad.
But after being placed on the practice squad/injured list to start the season, Reagor’s fate was sealed.
On Wednesday, the team made it official, cutting him loose with an injury settlement — making him a free agent once again.
The former TCU star has earned over $16million during his five-year career but his future in the NFL now hangs in the balance.
Once seen as a potential game-changer, Reagor is now a journeyman wideout searching for his next opportunity.
Whether another team gives him a shot remains to be seen but for now one of the 2020 draft’s most polarizing picks is waking up unemployed.
