Belichick, 73, had some famous sayings during his time with the New England Patriots.

But ESPN reported that the application from his girlfriend Hudson was denied.

The phrases were “Do Your Job (Bill’s Version), “Ignore the Noise (Bill’s Version)”, “The Belestrator (Bill’s Version)”, and “No Days Off (Bill’s Version).

The Patriots trademarked “The Belestrator” in 2009 and “Do Your Job” in 2013.

They added “No Days Off” and “Ignore the Noise” in 2017.

ESPN added that the patent office rejected Hudson’s application because the terms were too similar.

A statement read, “It is likely consumers would be confused mistaken or deceived as to the commercial source of the goods and/or services of the parties.”

TCE Rights Management, a company linked to Hudson and Belichick, was given three months to appeal the ruling.

Belichick is in his first season coaching the University of North Carolina Tar Heels.

He was New England Patriots coach for 24 years before being fired.

Belichick won six Super Bowls with Tom Brady as his quarterback.

But he confirmed last week that there is bad blood between him and his former employers.

Reports emerged this week that he banned scouts from his old NFL team.

Belichick was asked about the ban after Saturday’s victory over Charlotte.

“It’s clear I’m not welcome there around their facility, Belichick said.

“So, they’re not welcome at ours. It’s pretty simple.”

The split was said to be mutual and amicable at the time.

But that relationship has apparently soured, judging by Belichick’s comments.

Belichick’s reign at UNC began with blowout loss to TCU at home.

They bounced back to beat Charlotte in Week 2.
