The QB retaliated with a shove of his own before he and the fan were separated.
After the game, Jackson explained the moment, “He slapped me and he was talking so I just forgot where I was for a little bit.
“You have to think in those situations, there’s security out there, let them handle it.
“But I let my emotions get the best of me.”
The 28-year-old has now come out with an apology to the fan.
However, he also offered him some advice when speaking after practice on Wednesday.
He said, “My apologies to him.
“Just chill next time. You can talk trash and stuff, but keep your hands to yourself.”
The Ravens star had just thrown a 29-yard touchdown pass to Hopkins in the third quarter when the incident happened.
The fan slapped both players’ helmets, with Jackson losing his cool.
Jackson pushed the fan with both hands, sending him stumbling backward.
The fan was quickly escorted out of the stadium by security.
The fan has been banned from all NFL stadiums since the incident.
Baltimore ended up losing the game to the Buffalo Bills.
Hopkins’ touchdown gave his side a 15-point lead heading into the final quarter.
