BACHELORETTE Taylor Frankie Paul’s ex Dakota Mortensen has brought her to court over custody of their young son.
The U.S. Sun exclusively reveals that in court records, Dakota, who appeared alongside Taylor on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, petitioned a court in June over custody of their one-year-old son, Ever.

The couple had a very public fight in 2023, which resulted in Taylor’s arrest for domestic violence[/caption]
Taylor‘s ex asked the court to establish custody, parenting time and child support.
The custody case was placed on the most extreme custody track due to the new Bachelorette star’s arrest for domestic violence after an incident with Dakota in 2023.
Where the case stands in Utah, custody cases are placed on one of three tracks: Track 1, Standard Track, which is the simplest case without discovery or witnesses needed; Track 2, which is called the Complex Discovery Track, which requires a lot of discovery, such as the value of businesses that may be owned by one or both parties.
Then there third track, which is called the Significant Custody Dispute Track, and thats what the Disney+ and now ABC reality star’s case is categorized as.
It’s described as the category for cases “with significant custody disputes, including custody disputes involving allegations of child abuse or domestic violence.”
Both Dakota and Taylor have to complete a parenting course and submit their certificate of completion to the court.
They were also given a boilerplate Domestic Relations Injunction, which is basically a list of terms they are to agree to as they move forward through their child custody proceedings.
They had to agree not to “harass, intimidate or disturb the peace of the other party by any means, including electronically.”
They must not “commit domestic violence or abuse against the other party or a child.”
The court also said they are not allowed to take Ever on “non-routine travel” without the consent of the other.
Taylor and Dakota were also told they are not allowed to “demean or disparage” each other in front of their child, or try to influence the child’s favor over the other parent.
Taylor gave birth to Ever in March of last year, and by Christmas, it appeared she and Dakota had split.
She confirmed the breakup in an interview with People in January of this year.
Taylor and Dakota got together in 2022, and The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives fans met him in the show’s very first episode.
Taylor’s arrest was also featured in that first episode.
TAYLOR’S ARREST
Production obtained a 911 call from a concerned neighbor who warned there was a domestic incident happening at their home.
In body camera footage, which also aired on the show, a clearly inebriated Taylor spoke to police about the incident and told them she threw something at Dakota.
She was subsequently arrested and charged with aggravated assault, two counts of domestic violence in the presence of a child, child abuse and criminal mischief.
According to local news station KSL, charging documents accused Taylor of throwing a phone, a wooden play set and metal barstools at Dakota.
The documents also alleged that one of the barstools she threw hit her 5-year-old daughter, who was seated next to Dakota.

The Bachelorette star ultimately pleaded guilty to an aggravated assault charge, and her domestic violence charges were dismissed.
Taylor revealed she was the newest Bachelorette on the Call Her Daddy podcast, which was released on Wednesday.

In her interview with podcaster Alex Cooper, The MomTok sensation has officially been revealed as the star of Season 22 of ABC’s hit dating show The Bachelorette.
She opened up about her exciting new venture and quest for love during an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast with Alex Cooper on Wednesday.
“To be honest, surreal. It has not hit me,” Taylor said.
“Like right now in this moment, I’m just thinking about it and it’s like it’s not real. It’s not real.
“It’s not going to be until the limo’s pulling up, you know, and be like meeting the people. So nervous.”
Taylor was previously married to Tate Paul.
He filed for divorce after the couple engaged in a MomTok swinging scandal.
They share two children: Indy, 8, and Ocean, 5.
