NFL fans were left emotional at the unique national anthem before the Green Bay Packers and Washington Commanders on September 11.
The anthem before the Thursday Night Football game came on the 24th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Lambeau Field quieted down in the moments before kickoff on Thursday as trumpet player Augie Haas was standing on the field to perform The Star-Spangled Banner.
Prime Video captured Haas’ rendition of the anthem.
Then, after the anthem, four F-35 jets from the Wisconsin Air National Guard flew over the field.
The anthem occurred just over 24 hours after the murder of Charlie Kirk in Utah.
The 31-year-old was shot while debating students at an event at Utah Valley University.
The touching scene in Green Bay before the game led to plenty of praise on social media by NFL fans.
“National Anthem @packers @Commanders @NFL on Thursday night is exactly how it’s done,” one wrote.
“Not gonna lie, the trumpet National Anthem goes hard,” another commented.
“Absolutely beautiful,” a third said.
“Hearing the national anthem on a day like today really hits the spot. I couldn’t be more grateful to live in the greatest country on planet earth! I love the United States of America,” a fourth added.
The Packers went on to claim the 28-18 win over the Commanders.
However, Washington lost more than just a game.
Running back Austin Ekeler suffered a right Achilles injury on a non-contact play/.
Defensive end Deatrich Wise Jr. was carted off the field due to a quadriceps injury.

Wise was left in tears as he left the field.
Tight end John Bates and receiver Noah Brown were also hit with injury issues.
After the game, head coach Dan Quinn had no immediate update on the injuries.
“We’ll use the weekend to see where we’re at from the injuries,” Quinn said. “I don’t want to make a guess.”
