A SHOPPER who actively boycotts Target claims he was duped by the retail giant after he unknowingly bought one of their products from a “ghost store”.
The shocked TikTok user took to the social media platform to tell viewers how to spot the shady trick used to deceive customers.

The former Target employee claimed he bought an item off of a random store online.
But days later, he received a package in the mail – with a Target logo on the box.
Thinking it must have been his mum who ordered the product – since he regularly boycotts Target – he thought nothing of it.
But after checking the label, he made a strange discovery.
The Target box was addressed to his name.
Confused, he started to realise that the product was the item that he had ordered earlier.
But since he knew he had not ordered anything from Target, he realised that the major retailer had set up “ghost stores”.
He explained the concept to his audience online by comparing it to a local restaurant selling fast-food bought from a major chain.
He said in the video caption: “TikTok tryna be slick!
“Please be mindful when you online shop.”
The furious shopper claims that Target are setting up fake vendors with different names to avoid their incurred losses from boycotts.
He also showed evidence of a box being delivered to him specifically from Target – despite him never ordering from them.
It comes as the major retailer continues to haemorrhage its profits due to widespread boycotts.
Earlier this year, a leaked memo from Target revealed a major policy change which came into effect on July 28.
Shoppers boycotted the retailer in response.
The change meant that price matches would happen exclusively inside Target.
This meant that the store would no longer direct you to a competitor if the item was priced cheaper there.
Ordinarily, the policy sees Target shoppers requesting a price match for identical items sold at lower prices by select competitors.
These include big names like Walmart and Amazon.
An anonymous person from inside Target leaked the company-wide memo on social media.
