Kani Walker update after Arkansas star is carted off field with terrifying head injury during Ole Miss game

THINGS are looking up for Kani Walker after he suffered a scary injury on Saturday.

Walker was stretchered off the field after taking a hit to the head.

Walker was stretchered off the field and taken to the hospital[/caption]

The Arkansas defensive back appeared to hit his head against a teammate while facing off against Ole Miss.

The ESPN broadcast revealed that Walker was taken to the hospital for further evaluation.

Sideline reporter Taylor McGregor let viewers know that Walker did have movement in his extremities.

After the game, Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman revealed that Walker was released from the hospital.

He also said that Walker rejoined the team to make the trip back home.

“I think he’s doing well,” Pittman said.

“He’s going to come back and he’s going to go home with the team.”

Walker’s injury took place early in the fourth quarter of the game.

He was motionless on the field after hitting his head on a teammate and was quickly tended to by medical staff.

Players from both teams gathered around him to pray as he was loaded on a stretcher.


Walker gave a thumbs up to the crowd as he was taken off the field to show fans he was alert.

He is playing his first season at Arkansas after transferring in this offseason.

Walker played his first three seasons at Oklahoma.

He had six tackles and one pass defended before getting injured.
