Late on the night of Saturday, September 13, 2025, Tommy Norman was booked into jail after officers were called over a report of domestic violence.
North Little Rock Police Department confirmed the 53-year-old had been arrested the following day.
Norman is facing a single charge of domestic battery in the third degree.
Officers were called to an address shortly before midnight where an assault had been reported, according to an arrest report seen by the Northwest Arkansas Democrat Gazette and TMZ.
Police spoke to Norman’s wife Rosalynd, who claimed the pair had an argument and he struck her with the back of his hand on the chest.
But Norman told them he tried to block an attempted slap from his wife, which is when the injury occurred, per the report.
The 27-year veteran of North Little Rock police is being held without bond at Pulaski County Jail.
Who is Tommy Norman?
Tommy Norman works as a police officer for the North Little Rock Police Department in Arkansas.
He regularly shares his life’s work with his 1.8million Instagram and 3.8million Facebook followers.
The cop has worked with countless charities and youth organizations, as well as hospitals and community centres.
And he has received high praise from his fans for his unique approach to law enforcement.
Among his philanthropic work, Tommy is credited for dishing out backpacks and shoe vouchers to school kids and helping families struggling financially.
The social media star describes himself on his Instagram as “building bridges, forming relationships, and uniting communities”.
Tommy is married to the “love of his life” Rosalynd Guiden after proposing on her 30th birthday.
They married on July 6 in 2019, with his wife previously telling KARK News how he was “always really sweet and respectful” towards her.
Meanwhile, he said the feeling was mutual, “she’d be right there with me visiting people in hospitals, nursing homes, sick people,” he said, adding that her support makes him the best man he can be.
The duo first introduced themselves after a chance encounter in one of the aisles of a Walgreens.
Tommy is a father to Mitchell and Alyssa, and step-dad to Riley.
Mitchell is in his 20s while Riley is still of school age, but Alyssa sadly passed away on November 17, 2021.
Tommy shared the devastating news with a heartbreaking tribute to his “daddy’s girl”, who was in her mid-20s.
The Instagram post read: “Today has been the most painful day of my life. My beautiful daughter Alyssa ‘daddy’s girl’ is gone.
“She passed away this morning. I come to you tonight asking that you pray for me & my family.
“This is extremely devastating for all of us. We appreciate you.”
When did he become a North Little Rock police officer?
Tommy is understood to have joined the force in 1998.
He has worked as an officer and patrolman for 23 years, alongside his extracurricular charity work.

It was announced in October 2021 that Tommy would receive a prestigious honor from President Joe Biden.
