NEW York Giants offensive lineman James Hudson tried a new technique to get a leg up on his opponents.
Hudson got the start for the Giants on Sunday as Andrew Thomas was out with injury.

The game against the Dallas Cowboys was Hudson’s second start of the season, but it did not go well.
He was heavily penalized in the game, with one call going against his new defensive technique.
While blocking for quarterback Russell Wilson, Hudson opted for brute force instead of technique.
With defensive end James Houston bursting around the edge, Hudson swung his arm around and smacked Houston on the back of the end.
Technically, the method was a success as it got Houston down to the ground and he was unable to get to Wilson.
However, the blocking technique was not legal and it forced the officials to throw a flag on the play.
That was one of four penalties called on just a single offensive drive.
According to the game’s commentators, it was the first time this century that a player committed four penalties in one drive.
Among those penalties was a blatant false-start and a post-play personal foul.
He committed a total of two unnecessary roughness penalties and two false starts on the drive.
Hudson also allowed a sack on the disaster drive.
Miraculously, the Giants were able to end the drive with a field goal, salvaging points despite 40-yards of penalties from Hudson.
Following the score, Hudson was swiftly benched by head coach Brian Daboll.
Hudson reacted furiously on the sideline, but did not return to the starting role.
Giants fans celebrated Hudson getting benched and shared their thoughts on social media.
