A NEW video made by a Target employee has customers wondering if the store is trying to hide its increasing prices.
The worker said in the video that some Target products are now being sold without prices, which makes her wonder if the store is secretly raising the prices of these products.

She said shoppers are ‘cooked’[/caption]
The employee, who goes by the name Kaitlin Sonday, shared a picture of all the Target price tags on the ground.
“Guys, we are so cooked, we are ripping out all of the price tags,” she said.
Sonday claims that all of the price tags at her Target location were ripped out back in August, but now the products are arriving without price tags.
The employee said she believed that soon shoppers won’t see price tags on anything, so that the retailers can fluctuate prices without customers knowing.
“We are in a really bad time and I am so scared,” she continued.
“I truly wonder, are companies doing this and raising their prices because of actual inflation.
“Or, do they hop on this trend and think, ‘We can use this as a really good scapegoat’?”
Sonday said she remembers seeing price gauges during COVID when companies would increase the prices due to high demand for products such as toilet paper and hand sanitizers.
“In retail, you see so much stuff…and quite literally everything is going up in price.”
Target and Walmart both warned that prices at stores may increase following President Donald Trump’s announcement of new tariffs.
Inflation rose to 2.9% in August, a 0.4% increase from the previous month, according to NerdWallet.
The impact of inflation is already evident in Target’s prices.

Target price changes
Target customers and employees have posted on social media about the store’s latest price changes. Shoppers have shared videos on social media apps like TikTok showing new labels over the older price labels. Some customers even reported product prices being more expensive after they were rung up.

“Prices are going up significantly…there’s something that went up $50,” Sonday ended her video.
Shoppers were outraged watching the employee’s video.
“If there is no price, then I’m not buying it,” one user commented.
Others said they had seen similar pricing at other retailers, such as Dollar Tree.
“I saw this at Dollar Tree too yesterday and asked why there are red stickers everywhere, and the employee said because prices are going up,” one user commented.
