Publix, which operates stores in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia, shared the news on September 12.
The popular grocery store was founded in 1930 and has since become renowned for its exceptional customer service, high-quality products, and well-maintained stores.
The new stores are all slated to open before the end of September, according to the company’s website.
Earlier this year, the grocery store chain shared that new stores will open in Kentucky and Florida.
The chain has recently opened two new locations in Louisville, Kentucky, which opened on September 3.
“We look forward to welcoming both longtime and new customers and associates to their new Publix stores, and to becoming a valued part of each of these special communities,” Publix spokesperson Nicole Krauss told USA Today in June.
The September openings include two new stores in Florida, as well as locations in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee.
The stores are all slated to open between September 13 and 25.
The store already has nearly 900 locations in Florida, and looks to expand further in the state and the rest of the nation.
Publix recently opened two locations in Palm Beach County, including one at The Greens shopping center in Boca Raton.
The grocery chain reportedly plans to open a larger location in Jacksonville.
Fans of the store claim it’s better than other retail giants like Walmart.
“Publix is better than Walmart,” one shopper posted.
“I had a bad product and posted it and tagged them, and Publix got back to me in legit 5 minutes.
