KELLY Clarkson’s kids have been leaning on each other while mourning the death of their father, Reba McEntire revealed in a sad update.
The country singer, who is the former stepmother of Kelly‘s ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, shared how the family is coping since his death in an interview on Sunday.

Reba walked the red carpet at the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards with her fiancé, Rex Linn, where she provided the update.
“The kids are doing well, they’re all bonding together and hanging out with each other, and taking it one day at a time,” the Survivor singer told Entertainment Tonight.
“We miss him. We miss him every minute,” Reba added.
Brandon is the father of Kelly’s two kids: an 11-year-old daughter, River Rose, and a 9-year-old son, Remington Alexander.
He also has two older kids, Savannah, 23, and Seth, 18, with his first ex-wife, Melissa Ashworth.
The ex-talent manager died on August 7 at the age of 48 after losing his three-year-long battle with melanoma.
Brandon kept his diagnosis quiet, but Kelly hinted at his poor health on August 6 in an Instagram post announcing the postponement of the remainder of the month’s shows in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them,” the Piece By Piece singer wrote.
She has stayed silent since, except for earlier this month when the pop star shared a heartfelt post commemorating the 23rd anniversary of her win in the first season of American Idol.
Kelly and Brandon were married from 2013 to 2022.
The Voice coach filed for divorce from Brandon in June 2020, which followed with a lengthy court battle over child custody and spousal support.
Despite their contentious relationship, insiders have revealed that Kelly helped care for Brandon in the final months of his life.
“Kelly has been working so hard, as well as looking after Brandon,” a source told Page Six, adding, “he’s still the man she loved and still her kids’ father.”
According to Brandon’s obituary, the father of four was in a loving relationship with his former assistant and business partner, Brittney Marie Jones, at the time of his death.

He and Kelly first met in 2006 when Brandon’s father was the talk show host’s manager.
They later began dating after Brandon split from his ex-wife, and he eventually became the manager of the Because of You singer.
After taking time off to be with her family, The U.S. Sun recently revealed that Kelly is returning to her daytime talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, for Season 7, which premieres on September 29.
Production has reportedly already begun on the NBC series, with a roster of A-list stars this season.
A source also shared that the show’s staff wasn’t privy to Brandon’s illness and that his death was “a shock to everyone.”
