ESPN have made a significant decision after Molly Qerim unexpectedly announced her departure.
Qerim, 41, has been a staple of ESPN’s coverage of the NFL on First Take since 2015.

The host will be leaving First Take next year after almost a decade.
Following this announcement, it has been revealed that four leading stars will remain with ESPN for the foreseeable.
Herm Edwards, 71, Andrew Hawkins, 39, Jason McCourty, 38, and Jeff Saturday, 50, will remain on the network.
They have each signed new multi-year contracts.
Philadelphia Eagles legend Edwards will continue as a regular cast memeber on SportsCenter.
He will also make Sunday appearances on ABC’s Good Morning America.
Former Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns wide receiver Hawkins will feature primarily on NFL Live and Get Up.
Hawkins will make additional appearances on First Take and SportsCenter.
Super Bowl LIII champion McCourty will feature on Tuesdays and Thursdays on Get Up, First Take, NFL Live and SportsCentre.
This will be in addition to his role as a game analyst for CBS on Sundays.
Finally, Saturday completes the re-hires as he prepares to continue on Get Up, First Take, SportsCenter, NFL Live, and Pardon the Interruption.
This is a significant step forward as ESPN looks to be established as the world’s leading NFL network.
ESPN acquired the rights to the NFL Network ahead of the 2025 season.
In addition to this, the NFL is set to claim a ten percent stake in the company.
