Telltale body language clues showing what Trump, Charles & William REALLY think of each other dissected by expert

DONALD Trump was met by pomp and circumstance as he touched down at Windsor Castle to be received by the Royal family.

But a body language expert has now revealed the hidden clues which obviously give away what Trump, Charles and William actually think of each other.

Psychology specialist Darren Stanton gave his opinion on why the US President walked in front of the King as they strolled between a huge procession of guards.

And he explained what he thought of the frequent reciprocal touches made between Trump, Melania and all of the Royals during the Don’s historic second state visit.

But overall, Stanton described the reception as “a great success”.

He told The Sun: “It was a very amiable meet and greet, clearly what we call matching and mirroring.

“The King, Queen, Will, and Kate displayed reciprocal liking.”

Commenting on the initial meet between Trump and Wills, the analyst said: “Their posture, the weight distribution, the eye contact was just generally three to five seconds.”

He explained that this behaviour was “all congruent and consistent with a group of people that have mutual deep respect and rapport for each other”.

People who don’t have real respect one another usually aim their feet away from each other, Stanton noted.

But in this case, he highlighted how the group at one point positioned their feet like a “symmetrical boomerang” – a clear sign of mutual respect.

Decoding the physical contact between the parties, Stanton said that there were many reciprocal touches where the King touched Trump on the elbow, and vice versa.

He said: “And also with Prince William he did the same as well – he touched the President on the arm, and that was reciprocated.

“That denotes deep respect, rapport, and a connection.”

Stanton also highlighted why the colours people wear are crucial to understanding their psycology.

He claimed that Kate tends to wear primary colours such as blue or red, which display signs of openness and honesty.

Pointing out the outfits worn by each of the parties, he said: “Purples, reds, and blues are significant – it means the person has come to build rapport, respect, and a connection with that VIP.”

He explained why he thought the meeting was very pleasant, before detailing what an unpleasant face-to-face usually looks like.

“When you get a group of people and their body language is not consistent, it’s not matching, that means there is little or no respect, rapport or connection,” Stanton said.

“But in the clips that I’ve seen, everybody’s consistent in their sharing of each others behaviours, which means they genuinely want to be there.”

He also told why he thought the Princess of Wales curtsied to the most powerful man in the world.

The bombshell moment is fascinating as Kate is not technically obliged to curtsy to anyone who isn’t British royalty, Stanton explained.

He said of the gesture: “When we make ourselves smaller, like a bow or a curtsy, it’s like we’re when going to court.

“It’s saying: ‘I acknowledge your power, I acknowledge your seniority.’

“And that’s reciprocated by Trump because he makes himself smaller too, to match and mirror Kate’s posture.”

Asked about what he thought of Trump walking ahead of the King, Stanton said that people were “overthinking” this seemingly bizarre aspect.

He said: “Trump’s a big man, about 6ft4in, he’s got a big stride.

“I think sometimes it would look more odd for him to start taking half paces.”

Although Trump got into hot water during his first term for breaching protocol by walking in front of Queen Elizabeth, Stanton said he didn’t see any reason for the Don to get into trouble for this act on Wednesday.

“I just think that’s because Trump’s a big man, and it would look odd for Charles to walk with such massive strides,” he explained.

Trump’s warm welcome by his “long-time friend” Charles kicked off just after noon as they enjoyed a ride in a 172-year-old carriage through the Windsor estate.

Pomp and pageantry was out in full force, with the scale and spectacle of the military ceremonial on show for Trump unprecedented.

The American couple joined the royals for a scenic carriage ride through the green parkland to the castle.

The King and Trump seemed deep in conversation as they rode next to each other in their carriage during the spectacular procession.

Queen Camilla and US First Lady Melania Trump also travelled side by side, followed by Kate and Wills.

The procession is thought to have passed close to Frogmore Cottage, which was once the home of Harry and Meghan.

Some 120 horses and 1,300 members of the British military were involved in the ceremonial welcome at Windsor.

There were 160 personnel from the Royal Marines and Royal Navy, 1,000 from the British Army and 140 from the Royal Air Force.

The formal ceremonial welcome in the castle quadrangle featured the largest ever Guard of Honour for this occasion.

A royal salute was fired from six First World War-era guns on the east lawn of Windsor Castle and at the Tower of London as the group stood side by side.

President Trump appeared delighted when he was invited to inspect the guard of honour – thanking the commanding officer four times.

Earlier, the American leader and First Lady were treated to a personal, family-centred greeting by the royals outside Victoria House after they disembarked Marine One – with Prince William taking the lead.

The timings were slightly behind schedule with Trump stepping out of the helicopter at 12.16pm, behind the planned time of 11.55am.

But Kate and Wills beamed as they met the American couple before escorting them the short walk across the lawn to the King and Queen.
