LOS Angeles Chargers star Keenan Allen has gone viral with images of his bizarre deformity circulating.
The 33-year-old Chargers wide receiver has been seen with odd-shaped lumps on his shoulders.

This has led several fans to ask how this is possible.
Former NFL doctor David Chao has explained that it is the result of AC joint injuries.
The AC joint is where the shoulder blade meets the collarbone.
Allen has a history with AC joint issues, with one lump being roughly the size of a golf ball.
He sprained his AC joint while playing for the Chargers in 2013 and never had it surgically repaired.
Several fans have suggested that the injury has given Allen ‘alien’ shoulders.
Chao has explained with a video on X that these bone spurs are “common with weightlifters.”
“It’s not a tumor,” Chao said. “His cut-off sleeves don’t even go over the speed bump on both sides. That’s been long-standing on Allen’s shoulder.”
It has been explained that this issue is not uncommon for wide receivers because of their regular ground impact.
While not uncommon, Allen’s spurs are particularly extreme.
“He could get it removed,” Chao explained. “He’s chosen not to. A simple off-season surgery would remove that.
“Why? Because he has no functional issues with it. It looks funny, but it doesn’t affect his play at all.”
Allen’s shoulder spurs do not appear to be holding him back as he continues to excel in the NFL.
After a season with the Chicago Bears, he has returned to the Chargers for 2025.
